Perkins & Will architects studied quick and effective testing solutions during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 for underserved communities. New York City Relief asked Perkins & Will to find ways to adapt the design to their needs.

New York City Relief is an organization that serves those struggling with homelessness. Perkins & Will worked with them to design, build and test the pop-up care unit. It is designed to be easily transported and set up beside their bus as they serve the homeless in New York City.

The film about the project was selected as a Finalist in the competition. I directed and edited this film about th eproject that we submitted to the AIA Film Challenge. All films were limited to a maximum of 90 seconds to tell their story and we were encouraged to shoot the film with smart phones and simple equipment.
